This is a detail of the base - note the lovely, if slightly crooked, wood burning; as a note, don't wood burn with a low-power soldering iron. Not gonna work.

Also note the heart; that's made of brass, with more wood burning inside. It got a bit dinged when I pounded it on, but it looks great.
