It's been a few days since my last post (again), so I figured I better get on and say something.

Lately, I've been working through jQuery; I've not done much of anything useful with it yet, but I think I could do rather a lot with it. Part of the trouble I'm having with the site is that I'm not really sure what direction I want to go - I have a pretty clear picture of what I want it to do, but not that great of an idea of what I actually want it to look like. For example - those buttons on the left. They used to be links; now they're buttons. Good and all, except that they don't really follow any good rules. As far as I can tell, it's better to put them in list form, because then they show up like you want, should the page be viewed from a phone or some such. I really want my site to be accessible, not just to phones and braindead browsers, but to screen readers and other such non-standard stuff, too.

I'm getting there, but since I'm writing the entire site myself, it's a bit of a pain. There are fun things, like the new contact form, that get done, and not-so-fun things, like adding tags to blags, that just don't get done, even though they technically rate higher. And then there is the general look of the site - it's not right, and there is a lot I could do (like line up those blag tag buttons, for one), but I just don't get to it.

Oddly enough, I've realized I'd rather work on my website from a Windows computer (Shock! Horror!). not that I want to go back to Windows, oh no. I love Linux. I just want a few select tools... Paint.NET and PuTTY (I know there is a version for Linux, but it doesn't have the copy-on-select and paste-on-right-click that I use so much) are so very, very useful. It's probably just that I haven't really used a decent programming environment in Linux yet... I know you can do wonders with vi, but I guess I'm just too lazy to get the blasted thing set up right.

That's pretty much it; I have time, tools, or gumption - pick two. Ah well. It'll get done; maybe not when I would like for it to get done, but it'll get done.
