I don't know much about virtual machines just yet, but what I've seen is AWESOME

I don't know much about virtual machines just yet, but what i've seen thus far shows that mine is FAST. An install of Windows XP usually takes around 2 hours, give or take. This install took a sum total of 15 minutes, start to finish. If I would have known that installing Windows was this easy, I would have gone virtual years ago! Ok, well, so this technology didn't exist years ago, but still. After beating a few bugs out, I must say I'm pretty impressed. Even through a crazy remote connection (see yesterday's post), the VM still goes fast. If it reads my USB devices, I'll be sold. And if it can play some of the Windows games that don't work in KUbuntu (at a decent speed), I'll start preaching in the streets! Why have Windows if you can have Linux AND Windows, eh?

Blagwish: Hardware. Free hardware. Virtual or not, I need something to experiment with!
